Eric Paul Lefkofsky: A Man Of Many Talents

Eric Paul Lefkofsky is a Chicago based entrepreneur, philanthropist and author. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 1993, after graduating from the University of Michigan where he studied law. Lefkofsky, together with his friend, Brad Keywell, began a company called Brandin Apparel where they sold carpets to their friends and college mates. The success of this venture gave him hope and a strong conviction that he could make it in the aggressive health care business world. He went ahead to launch various other companies like Groupon where he acted as its chairman and chief executive officer and Staberbelly. He also launched InnerWorkings in 2001 and Echo Global Logistics in 2005. The company was led with so much charisma and success that it attracted the New Enterprise Asociates and later on went public on NASDAQ.

Lefkosky’s greatest achievements is seen through the risk he took to begin a health company called Tempus. Having little knowledge on medicine and health, he began reading books and partnered with the right people to begin Tempus. Tempus is a tech company that provides solutions to doctors and physicians to help cure cancer. The company collects data and analyses it, after which the data is availed to the physicians who use it to help their patients who may be suffering from similar cases or tumour. Since its initiation in 2015, Lefkofsky has been the chief operating officer and its cofounder and has used his entrepreneurial skills to keep organization running, profitable and impactful to the society.

Lefkosky and his family are also popularly known for their commitment to helping their communities and impacting lives. Lefkofsky is engaged in various charity organizations where he spends both resources and time in. he began the Eric Lefkofsky Foundation in 2006, which is purposed to support organizations that are involved in charity science and education courses. He also supports and funds the Giving Pledge charity organization that is determined to provide food, clothing, shelter and medical supplies to those in need.

Lefkofsky is a man of many talents. Besides being a great leader, humanitarian he has also authored a book called the Accelerated Disruption which gives leaders insights on management of their businesses.
